Composite Bonding

A great way to improve the appearance of one’s teeth is through a quick and easy procedure known as composite bonding. This simple procedure consists of using tooth-colored resin to restore the appearance and function of damaged or decayed teeth.

Composite bonding

can be completed in just one visit to our office. The first step involves cleaning the tooth and determining the exact shade of resin to be used. If necessary, the dentist will remove any deterioration or decay that is present within the tooth. Next, the composite material is applied to the tooth in multiple layers. Each layer is individually hardened by using a special dental curing light.

After the desired thickness

has been attained, the composite material will be allowed to fully harden in order to achieve the proper consistency. Finally, the tooth will be buffed and polished to provide it with an even finish and a nice, natural appearance. With proper care, the bonding can last anywhere between five and ten years.
